In the Northern community of Inuvik, after a long Arctic winter, the sun shines brightly and the people of the Mackenzie River Delta come out to celebrate spring at the annual Muskrat Jamboree. This community celebration is older than the Town of Inuvik itself and it is a must for those looking for an authentic glimpse into local life in Canada's Western Arctic. Join in this four-day festival with activities including dog racing, skidoo races, a community feast, games, jigging contests, log sawing, ice chiseling, drumming, dancing, & more!
